WWEC is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) holding comprehensive experience and skills that produce streamlined, accurate, and enduring energy-efficiency services for our clients. Investigation, design and installation of quick payback ECMs/EEMs (“low hanging fruit” such as energy-efficient lighting, insulation, low-flow toilets and showerheads, and faucet aerators) are standard in each project. We can leverage savings to install the long-payback improvements for you. Distinctive project experiences are highlighted for each team member. WWEC team members have facilitated over $75M in energy efficient building upgrades over the last 20 years.

JOHN “GENE” OVERMYER President

Gene OvermyerMr. Overmyer brings over three decades of top management experience in finance, sales, and operations. He maintains extensive relationships with lenders and oversees the company’s financial growth and success. He has over 20 years experience in HUD’s EPC program.

Mr. Overmyer previously served as a CEO/CFO for Tokheim Corp, which was a NYSE company. He successfully led Water & Energy Savings Corporation, a family-owned energy services company for sixteen years, and in September 2008 the company was sold. Mr. Overmyer founded WWEC in December 2009.

  • Mr. Overmyer is a member of NAHRO, holds a B.A. in Accounting from Indiana University, and is a Veteran of the U.S. Army
  • He was also President of th NAHRO Manufacturer’s and Supplier’s Council for many years
SCOTT COLLINS Energy Engineer/Project Manager

Scott CollinsScott Collins has been in the Performance Contracting industry since May 1994. As a former principal in both residential and commercial construction and engineering companies, he has managed multiple commercial and multi-family residential energy performance contracts and energy audits. This experience included the design, installation, and commissioning of multiple mechanical installations in commercial, multi-family residential, and single-family projects. He has conducted extensive research and implementation of “Green” alternative, sustainable, and energy efficient products/systems for commercial, multi-family residential and single-family projects.

Mr. Collins is certified in advanced building diagnostics and indoor air quality analysis with over 20 years’ experience in commercial and residential HVAC design; building energy modeling; and commercial and residential building diagnostics, analysis, and monitoring.

MARBY WELLINGTON Controller

Marby WellingtonWith over nine years experience in construction financing, Ms. Wellington ensures completeness and accuracy of cost accounting of projects in development and construction projects. She manages financial document preparation, oversees operational goals and objectives, and runs day-to-day accounting activities. Ms. Wellington is proficient with Peachtree Construction and QuickBooks accounting programs and holds her B.S. in Accounting from Elmira College in New York.

ANDREW OVERMYER Senior Business Development Manager

Andrew OvermyerMr. Overmyer leads our sales team, bringing over fifteen years of Energy Services knowledge and experience. His project coordination and customer service have enabled him to meet the conservation needs of many clients. Mr. Overmyer is a member and regular speaker at NAHRO and PHADA, holds a BEP certification, and is a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and A.S. in Supervision/Management from Indiana University – Purdue University, Fort Wayne. He is a BPI Certified Building Analyst Professional and Weatherization Auditor.

Project Experience

  • Has been the catalyst for providing over 14 PHAs  with energy retrofits through EPCs.
ANTHONY MACKIN Business Development Manager

Anthony 2With over fifteen years of experience in manufacturing engineering technology, Mr. Mackin drives WWEC in the development of energy efficiency technologies. His knowledge of renewable energy advancements and financial incentives, rebates and grant programs support strong customer relations. Mr. Mackin is a member of NAHRO, Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy (FARE), American Solar Energy Society (ASES), American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), and Green Energy Ohio (GEO). He holds a NABCEP certification and is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Project Experience

  • Negotiated water rate structures for Rural Development Multifamily Housing, saving them over $41,000 per year on rate changes alone.
  • Developed a short and long term capital and energy efficiency improvement plan for a large multifamily site in Ohio
JANICE BAKER Administrative Manager
Janice BakerMs. Baker brings over 10 years experience in contract administration, HUD regulations, and finance procurement to WWEC. She has connections with a national network of lending institutions that finances small to mid-sized energy efficiency projects and coordinates the closing of EPCs. Ms. Baker is a Florida Notary Public and a member of NAHRO.
